Shelby County Museum & Archives is dedicated to preserving the history of Shelby County, Alabama. The Museum is located in the Old Shelby County Courthouse which was built in 1854. It is U.S. National Register of Historic Places, and Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage. Columbiana Alabama Museum operated by the Shelby County Historical Society. Added to NRHP October 29, 1974
