For approximately 85 years The Fort Payne Depot Museum served as a depot for the Alabama-Great Southern Railroad . The building was acquired from Norfolk-Southern Railway in 1985 and the museum opened in 1986. Visit the Fort Payne Depot Museum today!

Things To Do

View collections Fort Payne and of local DeKalb County history . The Gussie Killian Collection contains extensive Native American pottery, basketry,and artifacts. L.A. Dobbs exhibit along with memorabilia from the World War I and II, Vietnam War as well the Civil War. Fort Payne Coal & Iron Building houses our rotating exhibits in The Depot Annex , View a substantial collection of dioramas by Steve Fiora.
