The Birmingham Botanical Gardens is located on 67.5-acre and opened in 1963. The Birmingham Botanical Gardens has over 12,000 different types of plants and is located within 25 unique gardens. There are 30 works of original outdoor sculpture and the Botanical Gardens is adjacent to Lane Park at the footer of Red Mountain. Birmingham Botanical Gardens is one Alabama's top free-admittance tourist attractions.
