Griffin Falls is located in Dawson gap between Collinsville, and Geraldine, Alabama. The falls are very beautiful and the walls are awesome. This may be one of Alabama’s hidden rock climbing jewels. “Knife Crack” is a popular route among locals. You can find bolted lines and gear routes , some are 5.10 or harder. I have spotted much wildlife in the area including large birds in the area.
The hike from the parking space is about 200 yards to the wall and waterfalls. If it is dry weather the falls may be low and may be frozen during cold snaps.
