Some of the best fishing in the world can be found at Lake Guntersville in North East Alabama! Lake Guntersville has over 950 miles of shoreline and is a whopping 69,100 acres large! The lake stretches from Guntersville Dam to in Bridgeport, Alabama. Lake Guntersville is a busy destination for fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, biking and animal lovers alike.

Located on the Tennessee River the Guntersville Reservoir spreads 76 miles into Tennessee. It is one of TVA‘s most solid reservoirs and is an important route for shipping goods on the Tennessee River with Guntersville being a major port for some goods.

Lake Guntersville is a mountain lake with plenty of wildlife and world-class fishing. Lake Guntersville has strong numbers of Largemouth bass as well as a population of small mouth and spotted bass. There are plenty of other species available including huge river cats (several over 80lbs), crappie, sauger bluegill, longear sunfish, redear sunfish, and others. Guntersville Lake is Alabama’s largest lake and is located in the beautiful Appalachian foothills.

Lake Guntersville State Park is located on the lake also. The park features a beautiful lodge with awesome rooms, first class chalets, campgrounds, a restaurant, a beach, golf course, hiking, biking, eagle watching ,and plenty of wildlife viewing areas. The lake is a haven for all kinds of birds and  is a serious bird watching destination.
