United States Army Corps of Engineers built Wilson Dam in 1918 to 1925 on the Tennessee River. 127 feet tall and 4,541 feet (1,384 m) wide it was controlled by The Tennessee Valley Authority. It is TVA's largest conventional hydroelectric facility. Known as the "Smallmouth Capital of the World" for it's trophy small mouth! 25 acres
